The Vast Sea of Clouds Vina Palomo Sometimes, my eyes run across the room, And through the windows they go up high, My thoughts and my soul seemed to be drifted away How I wish my body could go along for a while. The vast sea of clouds, The light and warmth of the sun, The cold breeze caressing my skin, Are all but inviting. What would it be like to have wings, To fly as free as birds do; To reach the never-ending horizon, And leave all your worries behind? I wouldn’t mind being alone, then For my solidarity would be enough for me I would paint whatever color I wanted And I would make it rain if I feel like it, too. We all sure long to see those beautiful shades Of blue, orange, and red But not too soon I guess For there’s no turning back once we get there.
