Course Description:
The course provides the background and facts necessary for an intelligent understanding of Afro-Asian Literature, its writers, history and dynamic development. V.
Rationale:
Afro-Asian Literature mirrors not only the customs and traditions of African and Asian countries but also their philosophy of life which on the whole are deeply and predominantly contemplative and hauntingly sweet. Afro-Asian Literature is the reflection of the storm and the stress of developing nations seeking a place under the sun which every student must understand so he may know how this literature affects the history and culture of a nation. VI. General Objective: At the end of the course, the students are expected to have become familiar with Afro-Asian writers and their literary works. Specific Objectives: A. Cognitive: Analyze the content and importance of the literary forms and their relationship to other writings. B. Affective: Appreciate the characteristics and the style in writing of Afro-Asian writers. C. Psychomotor: Create a literary web to analyze a literary work.
