I Am Panda. I Am Equal, Light, and Abundant.

I see the world me by. I observe and internalize.

I ask why it is this way. Why it all is the way it is. To question, consider, find my truth in this experience.

I go out into this world, the one of many there are. I wonder where I'll go. I know my path will take me far.

As I am out in the world. I meet new friends, I see new places.

The world is important to show me who I am, But a sacred space is just as important.

I head back to my forest. My sactuary of bamboo. I love the world, I do. I love my sacred space too.

About the author

Alexus lives in Edmonton Alberta and is a loving bird mom to Sam, a Blue Fronted Amazon. She works full time as a transit operator and in her free time enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, writing poetry, and practicing yoga and meditation. Her spiritual enlightenment began in 2018 and as the love for herself has grown she emits it into the world through her writing, volunteering, and relationships.

About the illustrator

Tess Swain lives in Calgary, Alberta with her Crested Gecko, Zuko. She is currently a student at Alberta University of the Arts. Along with drawing and painting, Tess’ hobbies include singing, playing a variety of instruments, baking, reading, and travelling. She is constantly trying to spread joy, art, love and knowledge in her everyday life.
