A STUDY ON EMPLOYEES ATTITUDE TOWARDS WORKING ENVIRONMENT AT MADURA COATS PRIVATE LIMITED PRESENTED BY T.SUBASHINI

About the topic: The efficiency the employees depend to a greater extent on the environment in their work. Work environment consist of all factors which act and react on the body and mind of the employee under industrial psychology. The physical, mental and social conditions of the employees are analyzed to suggest improvement in them. The primary aim of the working environment is to ensure greater extent to a working environment. The congenial, fatigue, monotony and bourdon of the environment should be minimized and the performance of the work should be maximized.

Objective: • To study about the attitude of employees towards various factors pertaining to job satisfaction. • To analysis the work behaviors and performance of employees at Madura coats limited. • To know about the strength contributed towards the quality of work. • To interpret the impact of quality of work life in individual performance. • To offer suggestion for improving job satisfaction of employees at Madura coats.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY Research design:

Descriptive research design is used in this study. This describes something such as demographic characters of the employees who work in the organization. The study is typically concerned with determining frequency with which variables occur together. Nature of the date: The data used are the primary and secondary in nature. Primary data is collects from the workers of MADURA COATS PVT LIMITED, MADURAI, with the help of questionnaire. Secondary data is obtained from company profile. Sample Size:

The sample size is fifty.

Sampling Techniques: The sampling technique used by the researcher is Random Sampling method. Tools uses for analysis: The statistical tool uses for analysis is percentage method. Percentage method: No of respondents Percentage of the respondents = ----------------------------------- x 100 Total number of respondents Method of data collection: The method used to data collect the information from the respondents is the questionnaire method.

Limitation: •In spite of the precaution, vigilance and scrupulousness taken by the employees to make the study objective, it cannot be derived that there are certain limitation. •The employees were reluctant to give correct information. •The employees gave only positive answers while answering the questionnaire. •The study was done for a short period and sufficient information is not gathered.

FINDINGS: •20% of the respondents were Male and 80%f the respondents were female. •64% of the employees were between the age group of 15-25 yrs. • 26% of the workers were married and 74% were unmarried. •75% of the respondents say that there is No promotional activity for their performance.

•30% of the respondents get job security in the work place. •50% of the respondents were satisfied with the training program.

•60% of the respondents have not attended the training program. •40% of the respondents were satisfied with the management ideas. •60% of the respondents were not preferable with the nature of job. •10% of the respondents were given fridge benefits. •40% of the respondents were satisfied with the working hours. •46% of the employees were dissatisfied with their work load. •50% of the respondents were highly dissatisfied with their availing leave.

•20% of the respondents say that the relationship between the employer and the employee is good. •40% of the respondents say that the work place is better to work. •80% of the employees were not eager to work more than their shift. •40% of the respondents were eager to work due to family poverty.

SUGGESTION: •Only few employees were appointed as permanent employee and most of them were appointed as a temporary so they were not satisfied with their work. These policies should be changed. •Good relationship should be made between the employers and the employee. •Fridge benefits should be properly provided to the employees to satisfy them. •Good co-ordination should be made between the employers and their employee. •Most of them were not given training. To increase the skill proper training program should be provided.

•Work load of an employee should be reduced.

CONCULSION: Through this project, I have gained practical exposure to meet different kind of employees and their response towards quality of work environment was interesting and informative. I was able to develop my communication and interpersonal skills I have gained a practical exposure about Madura coats Pvt Ltd. From this survey I conclude that the employees were aware about company policy. This project will go long away in providing a good shape to my academic careers.
