Global Warming
Re-deg The Anthropocene
The term Anthropocene has been adopted to refer to the era of geological time during which human activity is considered to be the dominant influence on the environment, climate, and ecology of the earth. (Oxford Dictionary)
Introduction:
I am proposing here that there are only a few things that can be done to save the planet’s eco system in relation to Global Warming and they all require the three "Re's" (Rethink, Redesign and React intelligently). I am using the prefix "re" to interpret this meaning of ‘again’ also emphasizing ‘going backwards’. To underline the idea of going back over things to improve in order to do again. “Re” as in doing again to improve, in a more positive way.
(Oxford Dictionaries as, Once more; afresh; a new., In return; mutually., Behind or after., With frequentative or intensive force).
The human pursuit of life in this circumstance should be referred to as “A Design”. In fact, ‘Nature’ and ‘Man’ together today are deg things as they are, since global warming began.
Out lining the idea of ‘bad design’ as being a series of plans, inventions, strategies or design actions that humans act upon, as being ‘bad design’. not only the creation of products but also behavioral tendencies. I suggest these as ‘bad design. Failures of the imagination follow, not looking at eventual outcomes. Not considering or factoring in that narrow thinking is actually bad design that creates a negative effect.
Nature has a tendency to be able to counteract the consequences of damaging human activity, as it occurs to our planet, A prime example of this is Global Warming. Paradoxically it is the natural ability that the planet has to adapt to humanity’s bad design that ultimately causes more problems for humans to address.
Why are humans persisting in behavior that endangers our existence? They seem to be forever focused on a short-term gain mind set, personified by Capitalism that seek to extract profit without acknowledging the reality that resources are ultimately limited. This activity of bad design can only continue for a limited time, as their behavior is becoming ridiculous and obvious to everyone, humans are realizing how misguided our conditioning to consumerism is and how short A time it has taken for the problems of “Global Warming” to bring us to the brink of calamity. Humanity does not address and makes excuses while bad designs are being ignored. (Trump, D. 2020).
It is my intention to discover through key points, text, video, media and experience that a discussion must clearly provide a proper knowledge of what “Global Warming” is, and outline what is required to stop it. I discuss how Governments and other istrative and corporate organizations are convincing us that they are doing the necessary work to prevent actual global warming from causing havoc around the world, so it appears that effective strategies are being put in place to solve the issues. It is essential for our future that the correct paths are chosen to guide humanity onwards to a realistic knowledge of how humanity should react properly.
In analyzing all the research books, articles and videos in the bibliography. it has come to my attention that the reasons most things have not changed for the better is due to the financial gains made by companies looking for profit. Profit margins increase if the process is easy and easy allows more money to be made from cutting the bottom line. Governments and companies will not stop behaviors that are bad for the environment and they continue to earn vast
amounts of money from short-term gain. We now understand that companies that gain large profits through a process that is not careful of the consequences, even if this activity is connected to huge amounts of negative damage to the planet or people’s lives, will never stop this behavior unless the profit making behavior is made responsible for the cost of the damage. (Trump, D. 2020).
One prime example is the USA Government repealing laws that stopped pollution to allow more profit in the face of creating ecological destruction. To repeal or weaken nearly 100 environmental rules and laws. Financial gains and profit rule the law, without checks on how things are produced. Even though the outcome is extremely harmful to the planet’s natural eco system. It would seem that this kind of thinking will continue, even if their processes are extremely harmful to the environment. Are we intelligent enough to make the correct design of life, to prevent catastrophic outcomes from continuing? Are the wrong people making the decisions for humanity? (Trump, D. 2020).
What is global warming?
Global Warming is in effect the main cause of Climate Change, mainly caused by the actions of humans on the surface of the planet within the 19th-20th century. Even though there was prehistoric Global Warming, most of the findings today center around the 20th century, which is approximately when the industrial revolution and mass production came into being. This era also includes a move towards more industrialized agricultural processes, of which also led to climate warming effects. The changes in temperatures recorded are the highest within the 20th century for millennia. The Intergovernmental on Climate Change (IPCC) Fifth Assessment Report concluded,
It is extremely likely that human influence has been the dominant cause of the observed warming since the mid-20th century.(What is global warming? 2019).
However, it should be stated at this point that most of the behavior of humanity is a cause of Capitalistic Endeavors by only a few people controlling the masses. Consistent and continuous mismanagement of humanity by capitalists have actually led humanity completely in the wrong direction. Leaving humanity in a state of confusion and no confidence in government what so ever. It is absolutely absurd how to this day the governments cruelty and abuse is continuing without recourse or accepting the cause as theirs. They have become total capitalists causing havoc to people’s lives around the world. (What is global warming? 2019).
In Chapter 1
I will discuss Zaria Forman an activist artist sharing the global concern of melting glaciers and the effects of global warming.
In Chapter 2
I will discuss the Designer Don Norman and the idea of how design can be a route cause to our failing future and how history played a part in how climate change has developed over a short time, considering the industrial revolution and mass production. Feeding the capitalistic giant while blocking water ways for energy.
In chapter 3
I will discuss Greta Thornburg, her badly needed presence on the international stage, making everyone responsible for changing the way they think and act in relation to the climate crisis. Bringing attention to the need for us all to take
action to protect a future for the next generation. Highlighting large self-interest and the blind thinking of investment companies that won’t sway for example water dams.
Chapter 1
Artist Zaria Forman
Profile. Zaria Forman documents climate change with pastel drawings. She travels to remote regions of the world to collect images and inspiration for her work, which is exhibited worldwide. She has flown with NASA on several Operation Ice Bridge missions over Antarctica, Greenland, and Arctic Canada. She was featured on CBS Sunday Morning, CNN, PBS, and BBC. She delivered a TED Talk, and spoke at Amazon, Google, and NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, exhibited in Banksy’s Dismaland, and was the artist-in-residence aboard the National Geographic Explorer in Antarctica. Her works have appeared in publications such as The New York Times, National Geographic, The Wall Street Journal, and the Smithsonian Magazine. Forman currently works and resides in Brooklyn, NY and is represented by Winston Wächter Fine Art in New York, NY and Seattle, WA. (Forman, Z.2019).
Artist Zaria Forman spends her time traveling to the north pole to create images of ice burgs and nature as it diminishes. Stating that she is concerned about the climate change on the planet and has become an activist in a way to create these beautiful large scale paintings as a result. Beautiful as they are, they capture landscapes that won't exist in the near future. This in a sense is an oxymoron or paradox where traveling to the north pole and south pole regions by boat and plane only adds to the problem. As mentioned in her profile above, hosted in several magazines The New York Times, The National Geographic, The Wall Street Journal and The Smithsonian magazine leaving a path of counteractive global foot print paper trail in her wake. She is telling a story of how it won't be there for much longer. She is making a point in creating an awareness but at a cost. (Forman, Z. 2019).
In time her works will be some of the few images of what it was like in the Antarctic before it all disappears. Even though it won't do much to change things, because of her works and talks she is bringing the subject to the people encounters her work. She is in some way opening a discussion that is at the top of every Countries list. (Forman, Z. 2019).
Chapter 2:
Designers changing things.
Donald Arthur Norman born December 25, 1935 is an American researcher, professor, and author. Norman is the director of The Design Lab at University of California, San Diego. He is best known for his books on design. Especially The Design of Everyday Things. He is widely regarded for his expertise in the fields of design, usability engineering, and cognitive science. He is a co-founder and consultant with the Nielsen Norman Group. He is also an IDEO fellow and a member of the Board of Trustees of IIT Institute of Design in Chicago. He also holds the title of Professor Emeritus of Cognitive Science at the University of California, San Diego. Norman is an active Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), where he spends two months a year teaching. (Norman, D. Wiki 2019).
Throughout the book written by Don Norman "The design of everyday things" he speaks of there being many designs that are failing humanity. Simple design creations that are missing a huge important knowledge associated with human interaction, or, I should say the lack of consideration to the s of these designed products. He discusses the lack of consideration when deg. These simple mistakes created by the designers are causing havoc to people. From plane crashes to nuclear disasters. (Norman, D. Audio Book 2019).
In listening to the audio book, I realized that if these simple mistakes are happening in relation to the initial deg of everyday things that are needed. There would be nothing in place to protect people from large scale design mistakes. (Norman, D. Audio Book 2019).
These designs that Don Norman is talking about are real design mistakes. From over designed mobile phones to useless creations that don't actually benefit anyone. Unnecessary inventions we don't need. (Norman, D. Audio Book 2019).
This brings to mind during the mid-19th century the wealthy people had incredibly designed chairs and tables that were actually useless and were also uncomfortable to sit in, they were more like ornaments, they were known as over designed products created more for show. A new age of design had to begin. Looking back through history, the design and effect of education itself could be accused of misleading students in negative ways, contributing to one of the most chaotic times in humanities life in relation to what are we doing to our planet?
Industrial revolution and mass production
In Georgian times mid 1900’s, it was decided by Government and the education system, that it was important for the lower class people that existed to be educated so that the production of papers magazines and books could be sold to the masses but also to products that could be sold. Even though it would create jobs for thousands of people, taking them out of poverty. It was the beginning of the destruction of the environment. As time continued poverty stayed as a result of mass production of cheap items made by people whom had no skill. They were paid low minimum wages, while the capitalists made huge amounts of money very quickly. This education taught people to destroy their own environment. (MacKenzie, J. 2001, p147).
Even today the education system still has not really changed anything in relation to facing the truth. The concept is to teach kids knowledge to grow up and get a job, that potentially will destroy the planet's surface. It has been only recently in the last ten years or so that we are becoming aware of our individual harm to the planet and we are becoming more aware that it is mainly caused by capitalism. Now buried in depth into the present capitalistic dysfunctions.
There is also the redeg of cars. Henry Ford said that he did not design a car, that the car was already designed properly, that he only designed a mass production idea design process. Back then a person could repair any part in a car themselves with little or no knowledge of car parts, where today one can't even open a car part to fix it. These were designed so the average person could not fix their own car. But this concept causes a negative effect where instead of fixing a part, one throws it away and gets another put in its place. Now there is a stock pile of broken car parts at the dump that can't be fixed. Plus, more money needed to be earned to buy the new part that can't be fixed either. (Batchelor, R. 1994 chapter 1).
This concept does create more jobs, but completely destroys the environment. Humanity is in effect dysfunctional in correcting problems caused by simple greed. Greed in the design and greed in the profit making by large conglomerate companies who don't see humans in danger or do but not in danger for years to come when it will be too late to fix the problem caused by companies that don't exist anymore. Even down to deg a city, government don't care but they will design and legislate cities with one thing in mind, profit. There is not actual reason for them to consider the future and outcomes beyond capitalism. One example is, not being allowed to place a wind turbine on the roof of a private property, yet it would instantly save the environment if everyone did it. The government are caught in a trap of ignorance and can't see beyond free energy. The Government can't see beyond the word free.(Batchelor, R. 1994 chapter 1).
Dam Dams
There are 84,000 large water dams in the united states of America, not including small river dams. This means there are 84,000 rivers blocked which add up to 600,000 miles of rivers stopped. This is also a contribution to global warming, where stopping the natural waterways of the planet interferes with the ecosystems of rivers and what they are supposed to do for the surface of the planet. This is in America alone can you imagine how many in the entire world? (Infrastructure Report Card.2019).
Chapter 3
Activist Greta Thurnberg
Greta Thunberg born 3rd January 2003 is a Swedish environmental activist on climate change whose campaigning has gained international recognition. Thunberg is known for her straightforward speaking manner, both in public and
to political leaders and assemblies in which she urges immediate action to address what she describes as the climate crisis. Thunberg first became known for her activism in August 2018 when, at age 15, she began spending her school days outside the Swedish parliament to call for stronger action on global warming by holding up a sign saying (in Swedish) "School strike for the climate". Soon other students engaged in similar protests in their own communities. Together they organized a school climate strike movement under the name “Fridays for Future”. After Thunberg addressed the 2018 United Nations Climate Change Conference student strikes took place every week somewhere in the world. In 2019, there were at least two coordinated multi-city protests involving over one million students each. At home Thunberg convinced her parents to adopt several lifestyle choices to reduce their own carbon footprint including giving up air travel and not eating meat. (Thurnberg, G. Wikipedia).
Greta Thunberg, a new face on the international global discussion about climate change. Loaded with a few intellectual genius entities. Greta taken deeply by the subject of global warming finds herself becoming a focal point in a political facade. Greta directs her ridicule towards the real culprits of the climate crisis naming Government and the general population who don’t change their way of living and thinking towards the growing climate crisis. It is obvious that Greta is at the head of the discussion on global warming facing what needs to be a real political resolution for change. (Thurnberg, G. Ted talk 2019).
The fact of her being there simply to fight for her future and the future of all kids on the planet makes the political scene seem to be incapable of making the correct choices for humanity even though the global community of scientists have continuously shared vital information relating to the condition of the planet and its future relating to the climate crisis she talks about. (Thurnberg, G. Ted talk 2019).
Vanguard
Huge global investment companies like “Vanguard” won’t allow their biggest financial investment end because most of their clients will become bankrupt. Vanguard is one of the biggest investment companies in the world. One of the biggest contributors to global warming is the famous 747 jumbo jet. The Jumbo jet holds 415 engers but when flies to another country it is the same as 336 cars driving to the same place. Only the 336 cars can carry 1,650 people to the same place. Where the jumbo jet can only bring 415 engers. (747 Carbon Emissions 2019).
But they are one of the most valuable investments in the world. The problem is they are in every country in the world. If stopped there would be a huge financial downturn. The money associated with these global companies are in multi trillions and in every country across the world. In relation to the global foot print of jumbo jets the consideration of what people have to earn to pay for the family flying to a holiday destination also causes harm to the environment. Instead of stopping the damage they will plant a tree. But tree farming causes mass production of wood products where for every tree planted they chop down a tree for production of some description. This could be viewed as a fake reason not to stop destroying the planet. Excuses. (The Vanguard Group, 2020).
Human rights
The book “Climate Refugees” addresses the immediate need for action now by politics and the international community to protect people. People are already supposed to have human rights already protecting them from any complication that may occur. Yet, still a plea for help is needed. The request from all countries directly affected by Global Warming is,
The time has come for political leaders and economic players worldwide to follow the lead of IPCC scientists and organize an international effort, one not limited to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but one that immediately begins planning for the mass migrations of climate refugees that will mark the 21st
century. (The Collectif Argos Team, P.16).
African fresh water lakes
Blarigui, low tide in Lake Chad. The water in the lake is stagnant, murky and muddy, yet men fish, women wash cloths and kids play in it. This the fourth largest fresh water lake in Africa. It is disappearing. Over the Last 40 years, it has lost 90% of its original area. Originally being 25,000 square kilometers, now a staggering 2,500 square kilometers in size. Four countries surrounded the lake, now only two countries are attached to it.
This is the effects of global warming at present in 2019. The book “Climate Refugees” tells of places all around the world suffering from countless weather systems that destroy the way of life for many people, time after time as a direct result of global warming. (The Collectif Argos Team, P.93).
European law or not?
As a personal note, I chose to purchase an electric E-bike. I purchased this Ebike on the internet and made sure that the bike was within the Irish bicycle lane law. Discovering that if a bike remains under a speed of 25km per hour it is allowed in the cycle lane. The main reasons for acquiring this bike is to reduce my carbon foot print. Cycling an electric bike to and from college would save money and reduce my carbon footprint considerably. Traveling 45km per day for the next 3 years will prevent a lot of fuel burning. (Ruxton, K. 2019).
When the bicycle arrived it was great cycling in and out of the city and arrived there early. Until I was stopped by the police and told that the bike was illegal
because it had an accelerator. The bike still only traveled 18km per hour but still it was deemed illegal. Trying to change things is not so simple. Because of a simple law there is nothing I can do to save the environment in relation to global warming. (Ruxton, K. 2019).
Choosing to get the electric bicycle was a very good opportunity to kill three birds with the one stone. One, replacing public transport with a less environmentally damaging transport. Two, saving approximately 30 Euros a week. Three, reducing global warming by not using my car. These three changes would have saved a huge amount of climate damage just by one person buying an electric bicycle. (Ruxton, K. 2019).
In most countries in Europe these bikes are legal, but Ireland it is deemed illegal. Regardless of the benefit of using one. This shows the concerns that some people have in relation to, at what stage do Government really change things for the better. Perhaps when it is too late.
Everywhere I go outside of school, I have to use my car instead of the E-bike. Pouring out carbon emissions everywhere I go. Due to a simple lousy law within the justice system. In Ireland I am discriminated against. The laws that need to be updated are the laws that unintentionally cause a negative effect, global warming. (Ruxton, K. 2019).
Another problem that occurred was the reduction in oil consumption. As they began to make the car industries change from petrol to electric cars it did seem to be a good idea at first. Now it is turning into a problem. Some car companies have decided to begin the process to change petrol and diesel cars to electric cars and this is slowly becoming the norm. According to “A Plus” an online journal magazine, the manufacturing of cars has sured the amount of humans on the planet. There are now in 2019 10 Billion vehicles on the planet. A Plus also claimed that 30% of new cars are sitting in massive car parks rusting and that these will not be used. The car manufactures are over producing private vehicles
and storing them in huge parking lots. (Elite Daily, 2019).
Already the manufactures are producing the replacement of these cars with electric cars and will eventually replace all petrol and diesel cars. This act is insane. The global foot print of replacing these cars will do more damage to the planet’s environment than driving petrol cars to their death. Not only do they have to make new cars creating vast global warming but they will also have to destroy the original cars, which is an astronomical amount of time and effort and cost.(Elite Daily. 2019).
Another problem facing the government is reducing the amount of oil being used on the planet. Increasing the amount of electric power on the planet is causing detrimental increases in production. Have you noticed how many electric products have been dumped on the market? Most of which are useless products that are not necessary at all. Even though the redeg of batteries has created a better longer lasting battery. (Elite Daily. 2019).
The problem led to the mass production of electrical products that have no beneficial advantage to humanity at all. One just has to look at all the useless items made to use electric power. It is ridiculous. Mass production has increased which is not what should have happened. Plus, the amount of electrical power has increased before creating a more environmentally friendly energy product. Everyone knows the bus system in Ireland at least is questionable as to whether empty busses should be traveling around the city even if powered by electricity. We should be trying to change from mass transport as the cost of climate change is getting more expensive. (Carrilero, I. Journal,2018).
Quoted in the book “Against the Anthropocene” page 27.
Activist Naomi Klein, on the opposite side, arguments like Latour’s are
dangerously misguided: “The earth is not our prisoner, our patient, our machine, or, indeed, our monster. It is our entire world. And the solution to global warming is not to fix the world, it is to fix ourselves”.
Why nothing is happening about global warming
On analyzing these three people and the information researched for this writing, it seems that people are aware of the problems facing humanity on a global level. For some reason nothing practical is actually being done to stop it. Much discussion, media interest and a lot of debate is happening, but little action is having much impact. Initially the government introduced taxes but we already know that it is only for capitalizing on the issue and nothing was actually done. They have organized talks around the world and discussed the problems but they still have done nothing to stop global warming. Like the artist, designer and activist they have discussed the subject and revealed that it is important to do something about it soon. They can’t actually do anything about global warming really that is on the scale that is needed.
Adding to mass production
The problem facing government is when global warming hits them hard. The government will lose. In truth looking at the world and trying to figure out what global warming is, really is not the correct thing to do. But looking at the world and finding out what is being capitalized on is worth finding out, as it holds the most amount of damage to our climate. Mostly everything that is causing global warming is something that is continually capitalized on. The Government reeks in corruption in direct view of humanity, yet humanity can’t see it. The interference in people’s lives by Government allow the Government corrupt people from the truth, and yet nothing is still being done.
In respect to those who do try to change things for the better, all is not lost. When wealthy people around the world become entangled into the web of the cost of global warming. Humanity will become more and more aware of what the problem is.
During the Famine in Ireland ships of food were being sent to England every day during the mass starvation of the people of Ireland. This was controlled by the British Government, and the occupying, colonizing force in Ireland at that time, in enacting a policy of food exported for profit, huge devastation of the poor in Ireland was the result. To this day the UK government refuses to accept the cost of the famine and the huge number of deaths that resulted from this. The government of this time did not care about the Irish poor. Now all of our Western and other current global rulers do not really consider what will happen as a result of Global Warming. Government will survive no matter what happens.
We have seen government taxing plastic bags in shops, the outcome is they simply gained money, plastic is still widely in use. If Government simply taxed the companies that use plastic, these companies would stop using plastic and use alternative products. That would change things immediately. But the Government have not done this.
In time things could change for the better by simply making the correct changes. There are new plastics that decompose and could replace all plastic that exists. The only problem is it costs more than the bad plastic. Regular plastic bags cost 1.2 cent where the cost of biodegradable plastic bags cost 1.5 cent. The other problem is the biodegradable plastic use mostly food extracts as the production material. This increases the global climate harm. So using bags that can be reused over and over are actually more environmentally correct. (Plastic bag, 2019)
The problem now is meat producers have their ware houses in huge ware house facilities, processing their production. The product is then shipped to the local
stores in their own packaging. Years ago people could walk down to the local butchers and acquire their meat and bring it home in their eco friendly reusable bags. The capitalists don’t want this to happen. Because the capitalist makes more money with the big ware house meat factory simply because they buy in vast amounts of meat at the same time. Government again play a part in the capitalizing of everything associated with money. Forcing the way things are done. Pushing out the small vender for the huge money spinning business.
Electricity production in the UK is responsible of nearly 40% of their carbon emissions. This is the UKs single greatest contribution to climate change. They waste two thirds of primary energy input. They talk of an ideal energy system being renewable energy technologies like wind, wave, tidal and solar power which offer carbon free energy and at the lowest possible impact to the environment. (Kronick, C. Page 34).
In objection to this, the process of decentralized energy is not the lowest cost or lowest carbon free to people and the planet. If people were free to put wind turbines and solar s on every individual house, there would be far less carbon then them sending the energy to the homes from local power plants. The book suggests that, fuel efficiency of decentralized energy is generally higher than that of centralized generation. The book also refers to less maintenance needed for decentralized energy supplies as well as less power outages. (Kronick, C. Page 34).
The science gallery exhibition
On visiting the science museum near Trinity College, walking around the show advertising or discussing the concept of Global Warming and the use of plastics, I realized that what they are doing is quite inventive and very productive in reusing plastics that normally would find itself on the dump pile. They had produced all kinds of items using plastic that was once waste. It would I am sure help with the cleaning up of the planet from waste plastic products. However, I
could not help thinking they will eventually mass produce these products and again leave the planet in a state of more plastic items that can’t be recycled more than once.(Science Gallery, 2020).
If they want to eradicate the use of plastic, stop reproducing items from old plastic. It will only encourage mass production. This will cause an epidemic of production around the world that we don’t need. It will only encourage creating carbon emissions producing something out of old plastic and more so than using new plastic. In other words, first the original product has to be gathered, separated, prepared to be re-melted by removing any paper or advertising on it. It than has to be melted and then turned into something else. This process causes more carbon emissions then making it with new plastic, which only use the production of a new product. We need all plastic to be removed from production that is not necessary to create. (Science Gallery, 2020).
Conclusion:
Quoted in the book “Against the Anthropocene” page 59.
Because the revolt against brutality begins with a revolt against the language that hides that brutality, names matter, what they call things matter.
It is essential that what is being talked about is realized as a brutality. A brutality against humanity and the vulnerable ecosystems on the planets. It is essential to realize it is only through changing laws where problems to global warming can be changed. Government are the actual main cause of global warming existing, not the cause of global warming but only the reason it still exists. Unless there are sacrifices made at the top and the bottom there is no safer outcome.
Around the 1940’s or sooner, there were no plastic bags. But there were no real big stores like Tesco selling meat. At that time were loads of small butcher shops with their own slaughter houses attached. Since the closure of all slaughter houses, butchers began to dwindle because their main source of revenue had been removed. Hence the end of the use of reusable shopping bags to get the meat wrapped in paper.
590,000 tons of packaging waste was produced last year in Ireland. Ireland hold the highest amount of plastic rubbish in the entire European Union. Hard to believe given that there are only 4.5 million people living in Ireland compared to the rest of the European countries.
Climate change is essentially an investment problem, Investors need to understand the cost associated with dirty investments and the opportunities associated with clean ones. They speak about printing on the packages the information about the damage to the climate this product causes. Maybe they should remove the writing altogether and the packaging to save the environment?
(Burning ice, Cape farewell. Page 28-29).
The book “Burning Ice” talks about this new carbon investment where a company like an air travel company can operate jumbo jets dumping vast amounts of carbon on the planet can avoid carbon taxes by investing in saving a forest from being turned into a building site. Great, but there is a problem, it won’t get rid of the carbon dumping or the damage of what the jumbo jet is doing. Another words all the carbon floating around the atmosphere will still be there but in time the forest they invested in will die as a result of high carbon in the air. Or a forest fire will occur as a result of the warming of the planet by the jumbo jets like the recent fires in Australia 2020.
(Burning ice, Cape farewell. Page 28-29).
Being a population on a dying planet it is becoming more obvious, some old traditions seem to be more environmentally beneficial. like reusable bags and not plastic bags. Removing plastic from production is a good move towards a better future and planting your own garden with vegetables, but serious things like having 7.5 billion people on the planet working in a job is ridiculous. In the future some people should be paid to stay at home and not actually work in a job because of the vast impact it has on the planets eco system. Most concepts should be re-designed for the benefit of future people like Greta Thurnberg who are completely aware of the mindless mentality of the governing of the planet and industry today. We need to rethink, redesign and reconsider everything that humans do and create on this planet to change for the better.
THE END.
Review year 2021:
This writing was created in 2020 just before the Corona Viruses were discovered which has ravaged the planets population, killing at least 3.5 million people. Viruses are a result of climate change and global warming and we are expecting more worse versions in the near future. Nothing worth talking about has been done on this planet since then to stop global warming. Mass production of electrical products have occurred on a global scale and it is the production of them that is causing the problems. If the Airline industries continue to pursue continuing polluting the planet with huge amounts of carbon we surely will see vast migrations of humans due to climate damage.
