THE STATUS OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES IN PERU
Currently learning foreign languages is an absolute necessity for human beings, as the level of development achieved by the companies of the third millennium product of its economic and cultural integration requires mastery of them 1-THE IMPORTANCE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES IN PERU Increasing globalization and their effects on Peru has created a growing need for people in the workforce to be able to communicate in different languages. The use of foreign languages is extremely important in areas such as tourism, trade, international relations, science and media. As more and more European and North American tourists come to Peru, the ability to speak English is becoming more important for Peruvians. And the tourism industry isn’t the only reason – Peruvians are finding that there are good jobs available for those who have a good grasp on the English language. 2- THE CURRENT SITUATION OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING IN SCHOOLS English for decades has been teaching in state schools in Perú, without any plausible result. Of the 35 hours of education provided by the State, two (02) are in English, or as it was called until a few days ago foreign language. A calendar week is 168 hours and of these students receives English classes 1.5 hours. We do not say that communicates in English because i no methodology can overcome time and its effect on memory. It's like carrying water in a basket. The solution is to ensure the quality of teacher training in universities, by constantly updating on new methodologies 3- OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEARNING LANGUAGES OUTSIDE OF THE SCHOOL SYSTEM Outside the school system there are many ways of studying a foreign languages people are able to learn a language through self teaching. Books, CDs, and guidance materials are readily available through bookstores and the Internet. These materials can be a limiting way to learn a language, however, because they lack a classroom environment, which offers practice and well structured criticism to help students improve It is also possible to acquire a new language by being thrust into an environment in which it is spoken. By being forced to use the language to communicate needs, people can pick up the basics surprisingly quickly. If a student wants to use this technique to learn a language, he or she should plan on staying in the nation where the language is spoken for several months. Most universities and schools offer language programs, some of which are open to of the community as well as ed students. Students who want to learn a language may also want to look into private classes, or tutoring with a native speaker. 4-RECOMMENDATION FOR IMPROVING PEOPLE´S FOREIGN LANGUAGE ABILITY IN YOUR COUNTRY improving foreign language proficiency can take a large investment of time and effort.
