INTRODUCTION In our Generation, most people consume great amount of soda. But only a few of them has the knowledge about the effect of consuming excessive amounts of it. The excessive soda consumption may affect the physical body of a student in the form of dehydration, lack of nutrients, or even the physical built of a person who drinks it. Dehydration may also be an effect, because it can lead to a loss of strength and stamina. The students should know the possible effects of excessive soda to their physical health and states. The researchers would like to know if there is a relationship between excessive soda consumption to the physical development of Grade 12 ICT students in STI College Novaliches.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY This research aims to know the effects of excessive soda consumption to the physical development of Grade 12 ICT students in STI College Novaliches. The objectives of this study is to know how often the Grade 12 ICT students drink soda, to know the body build of the Grade 12 ICT students and to know the effects of excessive soda consumption to the Grade 12 ICT students. The purpose of this study is to know the possible effects of excessive soda to the physical condition of the students in STI College Novaliches.

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY This study has its purpose to determining the possible effects of excessive consumption of soda to the physical development of Grade 12 ICT students in STI College Novaliches. Furthermore, this research has also the following points and views: 1. To know how often the Grade 12 ICT students in STI College Novaliches drink soda. 2. To know the body build of the Grade 12 ICT students in STI College Novaliches. 3. To know the effects of excessive soda consumption to the Grade 12 ICT students in STI College Novaliches.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM This study aims to seek the effectiveness of drinking much soda to the physical development of Grade 12 ICT students in STI College Novaliches. Specifically, this thesis work endeavors to address the following concerns: 1. How often the Grade 12 ICT students in STI College Novaliches drink soda? 2. What is the physical condition of the Grade 12 ICT students in STI College Novaliches? 3. What are the effects of excessive soda consumption to the Grade 12 ICT students in STI College Novaliches?

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This research will able the researchers to distinguish the possible effects of excessive soda consumption in relation to the physical development of ICT students. The researchers want to know the possible effects and how drinking soda can affect the physical development of the students. The importance of this research is that the ICT students will be aware of the side effects of drinking soda. They will also be informed on the negative effects of drinking too much soda. This research may serve as a basis study for the effectiveness of excessive soda consumption towards the physical development of the students. It will help the students to be aware of what drinking too much soda does to their bodies. The researchers will learn from this study how excessive soda consumption can affect the daily sugar intake of the ICT students and how can it alter their physical development.

HYPOTHESIS There is a significant effect between excessive soda consumption towards the physical development of the respondents.
