Santana Gopala Mantra Om Devaki Sudha Govinda Vasudeva Jagath Pathe Dehimey Thanayam Krishna Thwamaham Saranam Kadhahaa Deva Deva Jagannatha Gothra Vridhi Karap Prabho Dehimey Thanayam Sheegram Ayushmandham Yashashreenam !
Daily recite the Santana Gopala Mantra 108 times. It may be done either in the morning or evening. You should recite the entire 108 mantras at one time. Along with chanting this mantra, perform simple worship of Bala Gopala (lord Krishna as an infant) with incense, flowers, lamp, etc., every day. If possible you should offer some fruit such as banana as naivedyam (offering of food) each morning. Just one or two pieces is enough. Before reciting your mantra, make sure you are clean. At least wash your hands, mouth and feet, and sprinkle water on your head while reciting, "Sri Vishnu, Sri Vishnu, Sri Vishnu". If you have a mala with 108 beads you may use it for counting. Otherwise count on the bends of your fingers, counting groups of 16. Before beginning the chanting, mentally pray to Gopala to fulfil your prayers. You must learn to communicate with Him as a person. The actual power of the mantra is coming from the personality of Lord Gopala, and not just from the combination of syllables. After praying to Gopala, begin reciting the following mantra while meditating on His form, either mentally or on the deity you are worshipping: devaki-suta govinda vaasudeva jagat-pate dehi me tanayam krishna tvaam aham sharanam gataha . I have used 'aa' to represent the long 'a' sylable.
Recite this daily and you will certainly find success.
