GREEN HILL

JEWEL RUINS CEREN It has been designated a World Heritage Site as it is the only ruin of the pre-Columbian era where you can appreciate the lifestyle of the inhabitants of that period of history , since the other Indian ruins constituted ceremonial centers.
SUCHITOTO CITY To 47 km from the capital , as tourist attraction sites have lake Suchitlan ( which is an artificial lake) and Bird Island , Los Thirds : rock formation , the archaeological remains of the canton La Bermuda ( first Spanish settlement in The Savior). Suchitoto was a very important place in the colony, birthplace of some of the presidents of El Salvador and exercised during the twentieth century.
THE PITAL With a height of 2730 meters above sea level is the highest point in El Salvador, where you can perform many outdoor activities , including: bird watching, orchids , climbing, mountain bike or simply enjoy the view that we can have from there , so we can see volcanoes in the eastern and central region , plus the city of New Ocotepeque in the sister republic of Honduras .
JUAYUA It is one of the cities that make La Ruta de las Flores , 16 Km . NW . Sonsonate city and 1040 m above sea level. They are famous for its festivities in honor of the Black Christ , held from 8 to 15 January . Local attractions include other Los Chorros de la Calera , benefits of coffee: where we can see the process of getting our golden bean , etc. Some of the places where we can see the process of coffee processing are : Diamond , La Majada , 98 , etc .; all these located just minutes from the city .
SAN SALVADOR VOLCANO It is a beautiful volcano located between the departments of San Salvador and La Libertad. Seen from the Salvadoran capital has two distinct and separated by a narrow and deep gorge masses. The highest and pyramidal , 1950 mts . tall, is known as " El Picacho " and formerly was called " Cerro Grande " . The other low and bulkiest called " El Boqueron " to 1886 m.s.n.m. ILOBASCO Famous for being one of the oldest ceramic craft centers in El Salvador and Central America. It is said that this activity originates in the 1700s and has managed to keep up this time . Here we can find four types of ceramic : traditional ( cómales , pots , pans, jugs , pots , etc ) , Popular ( Christmas toys like San Jose, the Virgin Mary , the mule , the ox and the Magi ), decorative ( all kinds ornaments with original designs ) and typical ceramic ( this is what manufactures the dolls and motifs depicting nature and industriousness of the Salvadoran people , including the famous Thumbnails ) . Today it is a popular hangout for tourists coming to see the development of the famous handicrafts made of clay. Ilobasco is only 55kms . San Salvador , with excellent access and is part of Artisan Route . It is also famous for its artisan mills ( producing sweet tied ) .
LAKE COATEPEQUE Lago de origen volcánico situado a 18 km al sur de la ciudad de Santa Ana, a 740 mts de altura y con una superficie de 24 kms cuadrados. Sus accidentes más importantes son las dos pequeñas penínsulas denominadas “los anteojos”, y la isla del cerro donde los indios pipiles tenían un templo y un monolito representativo de la diosa Itzcueye. Considerado entre los 10 lagos más bellos del mundo, su nombre significa en lenguaje nahuat “Cerro de Culebras” Es un sitio ideal para practicar el buceo .el velerismo, kayaking, natación, ski acuático etc.
