1. Install Petrel 2012 from the PetrelInstallers folder (32 or 64bit). 2. Install SchlumbergerLicensing2011 from the Licensing folder (32 OR 64bit) - y ou'll need to have .NET 3.5 installed before this. 3. Go to the ptcrack (fix) folder and copy the contents of the Petrel 2011 folde r (32 or 64bit) to C:\Program Files\Schlumberger\Petrel 2012. 4. Go to the ptcrack folder and copy the file slbsls.exe from Schlumberger Licen sing\flex118 and paste it in C:\Program Files\Schlumberger\Schlumberger Licensin g\flex118 5. Run the Mac Adress Changer as , and select the PC's Ethernet Ada pter and change the mac Adress 6. Go to the ptcrack folder and copy the licence file Petrel_2011.2.0_00188b8d34 6b.lic and paste in C:\Program Files\Schlumberger\Schlumberger Licensing\flex118 \ 7. Edit the licence file with notepad and change "Laptop" to your PC name. 8. Create an environment variable. Go to 'Advanced Settings' in Control an d select the 'Advanced' tab and click on 'Environment Variables' at the bottom. Under ' variables' select 'New' and variable name: LM_LICENSE_FILE and varia ble value: 27009@localhost 9. Run LMTOOLS from C:\Program Files\Schlumberger\Schlumberger Licensing\flex118 , go to the tab "config services" and select the lmgrd.exe and licence file path . Also check the boxes to "Start Server at Power Up" and "Use Services". 10. Run SLBLicensing.exe from C:\Program Files\Schlumberger\Schlumberger Licensi ng\flex118. Go to "Add Licence File" and select Petrel_2012.lic from C:\Program Files\Schlumberger\Schlumberger Licensing\flex118. Select 'Start Automatically W ith Windows' and click on start. 11. You're done. Tested on WIN 7 sp1 (64 bits) (Win 8 & 8.1 software doesn't work) 8. Create an environment variable.
