Let’s get started Good evening ladies and gentlemen, today I’m going to talk about a very interesting topic, about Hawaii. As you know Hawaii is a group of islands, which are located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Currently Hawaii belongs to the United States as an independent state. As shown in films, documentaries, magazines and other things Hawaii is known as a great little resort place for tourism. But before I talk about what Hawaii has to offer, I would like to go back in time of those islands. Well according to scientists they say that those islands were not always there in fact all the Hawaiian Islands were formed by volcanic action that arose to ground and sand from the seabed. First, the exact date when the first settlers arrived in Hawaii is unknown, but many historians believe was between fourth (4) and sixth (6) century when a group of persons came from the Oceania continent, also there is much controversy about what was the first country who discovered these islands but it is believed that it were the British who first came to these islands, others think that were the Spanish who came before, but no one claim the islands as their own, note that Russian also reached the islands and had the opportunity to take ownership of the islands but they didn’t. In the 1800s many nations recognized Hawaii as an independent and sovereign country, however, was about a hundred years later when it was annexed to the United States as an American territory and later in 1959 was recognized as the state number fifty (50) of the USA. Returning to the climate that is doing there, Hawaii is the sunniest and warmest American state, however without extremely high summer temperatures. There is no rainy season, no hurricanes and no in general adverse weather conditions. Dust in Hawaii is very low, similar to the Canary Islands. For mild climate contribute mainly that the islands are located in the heart of the Pacific Ocean. This justifies the glory of Hawaii as one of the best tourist destinations. Temperatures here range from 26 to 30°C throughout the year. In winter precipitation increase slightly, but overall throughout the year are average. The capital of Hawaii is Honolulu, where you can find many ways to have fun, for example you can go to Waikiki Beach where you can swim, snorkel, surf, and so on. There is also a great nightlife where you can see a lot of nightclubs and go with friends and stay late, there are great landmarks like the Aloha Tower, Honolulu Hale, and Lolani palace, and also you can visit any of the volcanoes that exist in the different islands. Now I’m going to talk about the characteristics of the islands that make up Hawaii. The Hawaiian archipelago consists of eighteen islands and atolls but only eight (8) islands are considered as "main islands". The older islands have dormant volcanoes and the younger islands have active volcanoes.

Now it’s time to talk about the islands The first one is The Big Island of Hawaii This island is the largest of Hawaii that offer the most spectacular scenery, for instance you can see a desert to your right side and a jungle to your left side. You can also see one of the most impressive active volcanoes there. In this island of Hawaii landscape and the beaches are really impressive also you can visit the famous Volcanoes National Park. The island of Hawaii is the largest that has five volcanoes, At the top of Mauna Kea volcano, is one of the largest concentrations of telescopes in the world.

Maui Maui is the most known islands from Hawaii, where tourists can do water activities such as whale watching, surf or swim. This is also one of the resort islands and also retains much of the country's history. On this island you can see one of the best known active volcanoes in the world called "Haleakala". In addition it also has a lot of nature reserves and one of the most important natural parks. It is the best choice for travelers, who can enjoy a vacation in Hawaii totally varied.

Molokai This island of Hawaii is the least visited of all, but that is why it is probably the most authentic of all. On this island farm life is critical, where you can find plantations of pineapple, sugar, coffee. This island is special for tourists who like to enjoy beautiful beaches that are alone.

Lanai This island of Hawaii is the loneliest, but recently businessmen have started to build hotel complex due to the closeness of the islands to Maui.

Oahu This is probably one of the most popular Hawaiian Islands, where you can found the famous capital Honolulu, and is where most commercial life is concentrated. But it is also an important historical point, because is here where the famous naval base at Pearl Harbour is located. This island of Hawaii is the most touristy of all the islands. For all this it is also probably the one with the most attractive beaches, which has sands of all colors and all shapes. Kauai This island of Hawaii is the oldest of eight and has one of the most beautiful landscapes of the archipelago. This is the islands probably quieter and less traveled for tourists. Anyway on this island you can enjoy fascinating attractions like dormant volcanoes, caves and a variety of flora and fauna. This spectacular scenery of the island of Hawaii has been used by Hollywood producer to make films as well known as Jurassic Park and South Pacific.
