Executive Summary • This case was prepared by Professor Anita Elberse & Tom Dye to elaborate managerial skills and capabilities with analysis of Sir Alex Ferguson’s experience while managing Manchester united. • The case depicts the analytical vision he had for the game as player and the football’s most successful manager. • It co-relates the different approaches used by Ferguson regarding different Leadership Models • In this case, Author discussed about application of Ferguson’s formula for managing a game, a season and a club. • It provides a deep insight about emulating Ferguson’s managerial traits of handling challenges in corporate situations. 3
