MS3002J Gas Turbines The MS3002 is a 11 MW range heavy-duty gas turbine available in two shaft version, designed for easy to install, reliable, mechanical drive application There are several units around the globe running under any kind of condition and MS3002 reputation of reliability is well known in the Oil & Gas market. The MS3002J offers NOx emission levels of 121 ppm and 25 CO2 ppmvd with standard combustion system configuration while through the use of an upgrade for dry low emission combustion system can reach 35 ppm NOx and 80 CO2 ppmvd (firing Natural Gas) The gas generator consists of an 15 stage, high efficiency, axial-flow compressor and 6 combustion chambers capable of burning a great variety of fuels. The compressor is a high performance fifteen stage axial flow design with a 7.1:1 pressure ratio. The power turbine has two shaft design and is composed of two reaction stages. The first stage speed is 7.100 RPM and the second stage 6.500 RPM. The combustion system is a multican, reverse flow type, with six cans mounted on the compressor discharge case. There are fuel nozzles in each combustion can. The fuel nozzles contain a premixing tube where fuel gas and air mix together before the primary burning zone, and a central body with a diffusion fuel gas circuit.
A single structural steel frame make up the base s of the gas turbine and the auxiliaries. The gas turbine is mounted on its base plate by means of two forward s, (flexible in the axial direction), and two rear legs. The engine base contains both inlet and exhaust plenums. These plenums are suitable for both vertical and lateral orientation. The auxiliary base plate contains the lube oil system and reservoir, starting system with rotor turning device, and the fuel gas skid. This modular design permits different installation configurations for optimization of the plant layout to meet customer requirements. The MS3002J can be equipped with the latest revision of Speedtronic™ Mark VIe control system currently used on all GE gas turbine models. The control system is available both in simplex, dual or triple modular redundant configurations. MS3002 HP Module

AUXILIARIES The integrated lubrication system (including oil tank) that feeds the gas turbine, the speed reduction gear and the starting device (generally a gas expander) is located on the turbine base plate. The main lube oil pump is mechanically driven by the gearbox. An auxiliary AC electric motor-driven pump is available for ing main lube oil pump, while an emergency DC electric motor-driven pump is provided for emergency backup. In the standardized package configuration the oil is cooled by a water cooler. An air cooling system can be provided upon customer request. The thrust and journal bearings are of the tilting pad type. The starting system consists of an expansion turbine but on request can be equipped with a VFD electric motor starter. PACKAGE The package is optimized to minimize plant dimensions and to reduce maintenance cost and time. In the standard configuration, the speed reduction gear is mounted on the gas turbine base plate together with auxiliaries. The other modules completing the system are the air intake filter chamber, the suction duct (vertical suction) and the exhaust system (axial exhaust) and if required the oil/air exchangers. The enclosure has a sound level lower than 85 dBA at 1 m. This acoustic design meets ISO NR 50 limits at 100 m.
