FUKUDA FUKUDA FAGM range valve regulated lead acid sealed gas recombination battery are designed suitable for control and safety system, where you need critical standby power source, it is utmost important to consider battery with high quality, reliability and long service life.
Valve Regulated Sealed (FAGM) Lead Acid Battery APPLICATIONS • Telecommunications • Power generation backup systems • Switchgear • Solar energy systems
The use of gas recombination technology for lead acid batteries has totally changed the concept of standby power. This technology provides the with new freedom for use in wide range of applications. The battery is complied to UL/CE/BS 6290-part 4.
• Wind energy systems • Cellular radio stations • Instrumentations • Cathode protection • Marine equipment • Signaling equipment
FUKUDA range has the added advantages over the traditional vented type as it gives the ready for use when is delivered. The battery offer cost saving as no topping up is required through out the battery life. It has been tested in the field for many years with respect to charge and discharged characteristic cycle life.
• Military equipment
FEATURES • FAGMR design life 10 years in float condition 20ºC • FAGMH design life 15 years in float condition 20ºC • FAGMF design life 15 years in float condition 20ºC
FLOAT VOLTAGE
• Maintenance free throughout battery life.
The battery float voltage should be adjusted for the yearly ambient temperature as closely as possible. The following table shows recommended float voltage for a wide range of temperature.
• Ready for use no commission needed.
• 2.50V per cell at - 20ºC • 2.40V per cell at - 10°C • 2.35V per cell at - 0°C • 2.30V per cell at - 10°C • 2.27V per cell at - 20ºC • 2.25V per cell at - 25 ºC • 2.23V per cell at - 30 ºC • 2.21V per cell at - 35 ºC • 2.19V per cell at - 40 ºC
• Proven high quality and performance.
RECHARGE CHARACTERISTICS The FUKUDA cells are supplied charged and batteries are operated in parallel with the charger at a constant voltage. It is important to float charge the battery in order to maintain in a fully charged condition. The battery needs to recharge as soon as possible to ensure maximum protection against subsequent power outrages. Early recharge also ensure the maximum battery life.
BOOST CHARGE (Fast Recharge) If it is necessary to reduce the recharge time, the battery may be recharge at 2.35V – 2.40V per cell at 20 °C. For maximum service life, it is advisable to recharge with a current limit to 10% of the 10 hr. rate capacity. Fast charging should be stopped after 10 hours or when 95% of the recharge is reached.
FLOAT CHARGE
HORIZONTAL INSTALLATION
The voltage recommended for float charge, which will ensure the maximum life of the batteries is 2.27V at 20°C with IU recharge method. These batteries can operate over a temperature range of 0 °C to 40 °C .To maximize the battery life, the float voltage should be adjusted closely to the yearly average ambient temperature.
Cell design specific for horizontal mounting with battery capacity from 2 volts 50 AH – 3000 AH. The technical – marketing staff of FUKUDA is at your services to provide detail information.
