GOAL Related Products

Customer version of demantra is 12.2.5.1 (12250240) (4735). They have a legacy ERP IBM Main frame AXAPTA from where the data will be cached to data warehouse, like booking history, shipping history, items etc. all data elements.

Oracle Demantra Demand Management

Currently business is using Cognos for S&OP reporting, they would like to leverage their current Demantra S&OP module for the S& OP process.

Information Centers

The ask is whether Demantra modules data collections from Axapta/Data ware house tables or not. and are looking for loading the data from Axapta/data ware house into demantra for all data collections that is required for S&OP.

Similar to AS legacy collection, does demantra direct legacy collections data loads from Axapta/data ware house table. Or do they need to collect the legacy data from data ware house/Axapta to AS and run the plan an then push to Demantra?

SOLUTION There is only of the box collection process from the V server (EBS), but the Demantra data loading processes (ep_load and Integration interface), are flexible enough to load data from any legacy system. The customer has 2 options, both are widely used by many customers. 1. create a process that will load the data from the legacy source to the Demantra staging tables, and from them call the standard ep_load / Integration interface programs. 2. use the V server and load the data from the Legacy system to it, and from it use the standard collections process to load data to Demantra - this is the proper way to work if there are any other V products that will be used (or are planned to be used), having S&OP process may imply that there is a process that can include AS as part of it, so this will be the preferred way.
