To the Teacher: This resource is aimed to help science teachers apply Bloom’s Taxonomy to science skills and content. There are not many resources geared specifically to science teachers when it comes to Bloom’s Taxonomy. This resource is meant to help you develop questions and activities that fall into each of the six levels of Bloom’s taxonomy. Each page lists 3 different items: 1. Question Stems. These question stems are for you to use to assess students on a specific level of Bloom’s Taxonomy. These are not the only question stems you can use, but these are the ones I like the most. To me, they are the most specific and easy to use. I also like to stick to these question stems because some words are used in multiple levels. I like to use words and stems that are not used across levels. 2. Activities. These activities require a skill or strategy. The activities listed on each page require a level of thinking that corresponds to the Bloom’s Taxonomy level of that page. 3. Examples. These are examples of how you can use the question stems and activities to question or assess your students. All these questions and activities are sciencebased. I hope this resource helps you apply Bloom’s taxonomy to your science teaching. Good luck! -Stephanie Elkowitz Note: This product is based on the revised Bloom’s Taxonomy Bloom’s Taxonomy
