Exclusive sessions for the pool’s disabled customers. The pool has oversized changing rooms and a pool hoist to help accommodate customers’ needs. Carers swim for free on production of a carer card. Lane swimming A session specifically designed for those who want to improve their fitness in a controlled environment. Private hire (Jack Hunt only) Ever wondered what it’s like to have your own private pool? Why not find out. The pool is available to hire on Sundays from 3.30pm4.30pm. Try our inflatable assault course and enjoy the luxury of having the pool to yourself and your friends.

Family Fun & Holiday Activities The pools offer fun sessions during holiday periods which include the use of Water Rollerz, Water walkerz and Water Peddlerz. This equipment is used in many holiday parks and leisure complexes around the UK, it’s both fun and great for improving fitness levels. The equipment is available to see on the internet on www.waterwalkerz.com and is very safe and secure. The play co-ordinators design sessions in the pools to engage people of all ages to have fun and improve their fitness levels. The Family Fun equipment is available for use every week at the Regional Fitness & Swimming Centre on Sunday afternoons and during the holidays for certain activities. Peterborough’s outdoor lido first opened in 1936, the same year that the BBC began regular television transmissions and King Edward VIII abdicated from the throne! The art-deco Grade II listed structure, one of the few survivors of its type in the UK, is one of Peterborough’s most iconic landmarks and an important part of the city’s heritage. Over its 75 year history it has been enjoyed by generations of Peterborough residents and drawn thousands of visitors from across the region. Come and try this unique experience for yourself. Location At just 0.2 miles from Cathedral Square, the lido is within walking distance of the city centre. Situated next to the Key Theatre - another Vivacity venue – there is convenient parking. Vivacity Swim Academy The ability to swim is one of the most important skills you can learn – and one of the most fun. Both the Regional Fitness & Swimming Centre and Jack Hunt Swimming Pool offer great value teaching programmes for all ages and abilities. The scheme follows the Amateur Swimming Association’s (ASA) national plan for teaching swimming, ensuring that children are taught to a high standard, with clearly defined progress stages. All teachers hold the appropriate ASA qualification and are suitably trained to develop and assess all swimmers on the scheme. Courses available weekly or in a 10 week block, with children being assessed and moved to the next stage as appropriate. For details of our next course enrolment days, please a member of the Vivacity team, who will be happy to help you.

The responsible adult must be in the pool at the same time as the child. Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by at least one adult.
