20th Century Fox’s story begins in a tiny theater on New York’s Lower East Side. In 1904, fresh from Hungary, 25-year-old William Fox amazed audiences with his magical hand-cranked films

An American film studio, distributor and one of the six major American film studios. Located in the Century City area of Los Angeles, just west of Beverly Hills, the studio is currently owned by 21st Century Fox and is formerly owned by News Corporation.  From our first Cinemascope production The Robe in 1953, which electrified audiences and changed the way movies were shot and shown, to Avatar, the highest-grossing picture of all time, whose use of motion capture and reimagined 3-D are regarded as modern breakthroughs in cinematic technology. Creating moments that enter the collective imagination is built on crafting great stories, creating indelible characters, and continuing to push the boundaries of film making with technological advances.

Analysis:

this movie was released after the book was published by John Green in 2012. Waiting 2 years reached out to an audience that got attached to the book in the past two years. The book became a best seller, therefore basically ensuring a profitable movie in 2014.

Franchise comparison Analysis: in this chart The Fault in our stars is being compared to Me Before You which has a similar plot line, and as one can see the movie accumulated a lot more box office and profits, even though they had a significantly smaller budget.

Analysis: There are a variety of posters for different occasions. The first one to the left is the original one in the USA, the other two are used around the world. The posters all bring across the idea of love and that it is worth fighting for.

Analysis: The Maze Runner , like the previous movie I discussed was also a movie made after a book. This book is part of a three-part series which has a lot to do with how well the movie did in the industry. The movie made a huge profit after showing in 2014, and it even had a global impact.

Franchise comparison Analysis: according to this chart, comparing the first and second movies, one can see clearly that the first movie was a big hit compared to the second movie. Both nationally and worldwide, the Maze runner created a bigger profit because the start of a series is usually always more popular.
