Rhista’s Guide to….
Teamwork makes the Dream Team Work
I wanna be the very best, that no one ever was, to catch ‘em all is my quest, to train them is my goallll… Whoops wrong game. Same deal though lol. Anyhow, on an ideal team, you’re looking for a sturdy front line and a back line of damage dealers and . If your frontline falls, you want to try to have enough burst damage to eke your way out alive. Usually one of your front-liners is your own character, regardless of your class. Guards go in front left slot and other classes prefer to put themselves on the front right slot in embattle. This is because the left slot takes 3 enemy hits per turn while the right slot takes 2 enemy hits per turn. Navigation Made Easy: Press Ctrl+Alt+A or Ctrl+Alt+H to pull up the document outline Part 1: Building Your Own Character It’s important to build up your character because this is the permanently permanent member of your team. Below are the advised gear/builds for each class. Gems, treasures, and preferred rolls are listed by importance/priority. Scholar Gems: ATK, CRIT, ACC/DEF/AGL/HP 3rd is flex depending on position, desired build, and AGL of • rest of team Treasure: For ATK: Stamp (ATK/CRIT) or Hook (ATK/ACC) • Preferred Rolls: ATK/CRIT/AGL/ACC • For DEF: Parasol (DEF/RES) or Orb (ATK/DEF) • Preferred Rolls: ATK/CRIT/AGL/DEF • Skills: Backline: • ATK bonus gear (Unity from Intrigue, Duality from VIP) • AGL bonus gear (Merak from Intrigue, Bliss from Ranking or • VIP) Skills: Sentimental Verse/Flower and Moon (Transfer 1) + • Quick Thoughts (Transfer 2) Frontline: • ATK bonus gear (Unity from Intrigue, Duality from VIP) •

DEF bonus gear (Serenity from Intrigue, Royal from being Top 10 in Pageant) ATK bonus gear still works for this build because it can make the most of the White Dance/Nighttrain of Mount ive Skills: Sacred Judgement (Transfer 1) + White Dance/Nighttrain of Mount (Transfer 2) Medic
Gems: HP, DEF/RES, AGL ATK can be a flex gem if running a more damage-oriented • build Treasure: Lamp (HP/RES) or Parasol (DEF/RES) Preferred Rolls: AGL/DEF/HP/RES • Gear: DEF bonus gear (Serenity from Intrigue, Royal from Pageant) • AGL bonus gear (Merak from Intrigue, Bliss from Ranking or • VIP) Skills: : Heartbroken + Binding Coil/Moonlit Streamer • (Transfer 2) Damage: Valley of Orchids (Transfer 1) + Mind of Harmony • (Transfer 2) Guard Gems: HP, DEF, RES ATK can be a flex gem if running a more damage-oriented • build Treasure: Parasol (DEF/RES) or Lamp (HP/RES) or Orb (ATK/DEF) • Preferred Rolls: DEF/RES/HP • Gear: DEF bonus gear (Serenity from Intrigue, Royal from Pageant) Skills: DEF : Sunrise/Clear Reflection (Transfer 1) + Defense • and Attack/Pale Cypress (Transfer 2)/True Bravery (Transfer 2) ATK : Roar of Tiger and Dragon (Transfer 1) + Defense • and Attack/Pale Cypress (Transfer 2)/True Bravery (Transfer 2) Gourmet Gems: HP, DEF, RES/AGL/ATK Treasure: Lamp (HP/RES) or Orb (ATK/DEF) or Parasol (DEF/RES) Preferred Rolls: HP/ATK/AGL/DEF • Gear: DEF bonus gear (Serenity from Intrigue, Royal from Pageant)

Part 2: How to Build a Homewrecker Listed by reliability/importance, this part of the guide will explain which heroes are the strongest additions to your teams and which should be left in the trash can. Tried and True: Seeing Red These are all solid picks that excel in their roles - the must-haves of a late game team. Wan’er Your ideal frontliner with the heals to seal the deals. She’s very tanky and dishes out a superb amount of team healing. Her ive is an interrupting heal works best when she’s constantly taking damage - and it can save your team in a tight spot. Does well in both front line slots. Also, Wan’er’s Biography hit China’s Royal Chaos’s live recently - we can expect to see that in the coming months! Gems: HP/DEF/RES/EVA Destiny Treasure: Bracelet Preferred Rolls: HP/DEF/RES • Gear: DEF bonus gear (Serenity from Intrigue, Royal from Pageant) Lord Yi He might be the man of our dreams and a constantly hungry pageant judge, but he’s also the seasoned hitman of any team. His single hit targets the enemy hero with the least HP, opening the path to easy lethals, especially when the crit juice is flowing. Additionally, his overflow AOE after making a kill can be dangerous because that damage can also be crit, making it essential for him to take names and nab kills. His shards are pretty accessible, with his Biography sitting in the 500620k might range. Generally should go after another AOE hit (i.e. Renjie). Likes to be the center of the backline party. Gems: ATK/CRIT/Flex Flex gems are ACC/AGL - depends on AGL of rest of the team • Destiny Treasure: Stamp
Preferred Rolls: ATK/CRIT/AGL • Gear: ATK bonus gear (Unity from Intrigue, Duality from VIP) Pan An When using Pan An, he should always be the speedster on the team to allow your heroes to pick up the buff. He works really well with Wan’er/Wencheng and heavy damage dealers due to his ability to buff damage, def, and crit. His Biography is the earliest of the reds, with a last level might of 420k. With the right gems, he can be used on the front right embattle slot, but he tends to do best on one of the side slots in the backline. Gems: AGL/HP/DEF/RES Destiny Treasure: Lamp (HP/RES) Preferred Rolls: AGL/HP/DEF/RES • Gear: AGL bonus gear (Merak from Intrigue, Bliss from Ranking or VIP) Other Potential Picks: Red Edition These characters are all solid in their own right. However, their poor accessibility, fading utility, or lack of space for them in top formations, they aren’t essentials. Mulan Indisputably the best pure tank in game, this gal is infamous for her immunity, which is handy in a lot of matchups if you feed her need for speed. However, if you have Wan’er and you put yourself on the frontline, there’s not any room for a tank on front line. If you can find room on your team, she works best in the front left slot. Gems: AGL/DEF/RES/HP Destiny Treasure: Parasol (DEF/RES) Preferred Rolls: AGL/DEF/HP/RES • Gear: DEF bonus gear (Serenity from Intrigue, Royal from Pageant) Gear can flex for AGL bonus gear (Merak from Intrigue, Bliss • from Ranking or VIP) to squeeze more value out of her immunity, but DEF is better for taking basic attack damage Xuanji Xuanji’s active skill Scarlet Wipe has the potential to do what it says: wipe the other team. Paired with other AOE hitters, she can take out multiple foes at once with her heavy hit. However, the catch here is that her shards can be notoriously frustrating to get. The only consistent way to nab her shards is winning the Favor ranking and the other method is to let the game eat your wallet as a snack since the higher VIP packs offer her shards as well. She prefers a backline slot, ideally the middle slot.
Gems: ATK/CRIT/AGL/ACC Adjust AGL as necessary - should be going after whatever • buffers/debuffers are on your team Destiny Treasure: Stamp (ATK/CRIT) Preferred Rolls: ATK/CRIT/AGL/ACC • Gear: ATK bonus gear (Unity from Intrigue, Duality from VIP) Li Bai Mr. Drunk Karaoke here must be REALLY bad at singing because he’s really good at clearing the floor with his Drink and Sing active skill, which allows him to hit 5 enemies at random - repeated hits on a target have lowered damage. His ive skill Emerald River boosts his damage on enemy heroes under half health. However, it should be noted that his shards can also be pretty difficult to farm because he has no Biography. He prefers a backline slot. Gems: ATK/CRIT/ACC/AGL Prioritize AGL as you see fit - after other damage dealers is • probably the best in order to make the most of his ive skill Destiny Treasure: Hook (ATK/ACC) Preferred Rolls: ATK/CRIT/AGL/ACC • Gear: ATK bonus gear (Unity from Intrigue, Duality from VIP) Song Yu Song Yu’s ability to strike down frontlines with his active skill makes him a strong hero, especially in the hands of early to mid-game s. He can be acquired through VIP packs and late game Biography. However, his utility fades because his ive is very dicey and is only useful in very niche situations (i.e. trigger active skill against Mulan in earlier turn). He prefers a backline slot. Gems: ATK/CRIT/AGL/ACC Prioritize AGL as you see fit • Destiny Treasure: Hook (ATK/ACC) Preferred Rolls: ATK/CRIT/AGL/ACC • Gear: ATK bonus gear (Unity from Intrigue, Duality from VIP) Zifu Zifu is your gambling queen, young and sweet, only RNG. Her active skill has a 20% chance to reduce the “rage” of the enemy team, which slows the other team’s active skill trigger, and her ive skill has a 10% chance to boost the “rage” of your team, which accelerates your team’s active skill trigger. As of now, she’s the most viable medic, but her utility is limited by the low chance of it actually working. If she puts in the work, she can tip the scales of battle, but her performance isn’t too
interesting otherwise. She needs to stack as much agility as possible to make the most of her skills and prefers a backline slot. Gems: AGL/DEF/HP/RES/ACC Destiny Treasure: Fan (HP/ACC) Preferred Rolls: AGL/DEF/HP/RES • Gear: AGL bonus gear (Merak from Intrigue, Bliss from Ranking or VIP) Other Potential Picks: Comparing (Red) Apples to Oranges These are your best orange heroes, with the ability to battle with the best of them. Boasting easier upgrades and definite strengths, these characters are hardly anything to sneeze at and are popular picks for teams. Renjie Indisputably one of the strongest and most reliable orange heroes, his consistent damage and ability to hit all the enemy team’s heroes allows him to easily synergize with other heroes. He excels as an initiator, with a ive skill that increases his damage against heroes over half health and decreases his damage against heroes under 50%. He does well with Lord Yi, using his own AOE to pinpoint a frail backliner to eat Yi’s single hit, and Li Bai, who has boosted damage after heroes are lower than 50% HP. He does best in a backline slot. Gems: ATK/CRIT/AGL/ACC Adjust AGL as needed - he should be going after your team’s • buffer/debuffer Destiny Treasure: Stamp (ATK/CRIT) Preferred Rolls: ATK/CRIT/AGL/ACC • Gear: ATK bonus gear (Unity from Intrigue, Duality from VIP) Some guides suggest AGL gear, but ATK gear tends to give • better mileage in my own experience Princess Wencheng Wan’er’s spiritual successor has a virtually identical active skill and a fairly potent self-heal for a ive. She has decent tanking potential because her self-heal has a whopping 50% chance to proc. With far easier upgrades than Wan’er, she’s definitely a solid addition to any team and, like Wan’er as well, the China’s live recently got her Biography too. Her shards can also be found in Hero Shop. When it comes to formation, she does fine in almost any slot, but front line is preferable in order to make way to backline damage dealers or team . Gems: HP/DEF/RES Destiny Treasure: Fan (HP/EVA) Preferred Rolls: HP/DEF/RES •
Gear: DEF bonus gear (Serenity from Intrigue, Royal from Pageant) Potential Trash CANdidates: It’s Trash Can, Not Trash Can’t Certainly not the best, but certainly not the worst. Definitely solid picks in early stages of the game, but it’s in your best interest to phase out these heroes as you refine your team. They can be workable if you decide you want to keep them on, but there are better options. Prince Gao This boi likes to do the dodge. He’s easily the most usable in this section, but he is by no means an essential. His active skill boosts his EVA and his ive allows him to counterattack after he successfully evades a hit. In comparison to Mulan, he has less DEF as a frontline warrior and also has no immunity. Like Mulan, he has a tough time fitting onto a team because tanks just don’t fit super nicely into meta team formations. And that’s why he’s here; in comparison to Mulan, who tends to be more versatile, he fits high investment teams best (i.e. double tank comp with high damage potential in backline). He prefers a front line slot - either one is perfectly fine. Gems: EVA/AGL/DEF/RES/HP AGL is prioritized so that he can boost his EVA for more of the • turn Destiny Treasure: Bracelet (HP/EVA) Preferred Rolls: DEF/EVA/AGL/RES/HP • Gear: DEF bonus gear (Serenity from Intrigue, Royal from Pageant) Xiang Yu Your typical orange punching bag. Put him in the front line and let him take the hits. He’s good at what he does, but his utility just isn’t interesting. He doesn’t offer anything particularly interesting in of team or niche matchups. His damage is weak and does very little for his active skill attack. His ive boosts his survivability below half health, boosting his DEF by 10% and his RES by 22%. Gems: HP/DEF/RES Destiny Treasure: Parasol (DEF/RES) Preferred Rolls: DEF/RES/HP • Gear: DEF bonus gear (Serenity from Intrigue, Royal from Pageant) Jing Ke He is to Xiang Yu what Prince Gao is to Mulan. Boasting better offensive potential and solid bulk, this free hero can do his job pretty well. As he loses more health, his incoming damage is reduced further, up to 24%. His active skill does decent chip damage that’s definitely more substantial than Xiang Yu’s attack.
Gems: DEF/ATK/HP/AGL/RES Destiny Treasure: Lamp (HP/RES) Preferred Rolls: DEF/AGL/HP/RES • Gear: DEF bonus gear (Serenity from Intrigue, Royal from Pageant) Yuhuan The weakest of the three healers in game, Yuhuan is a solid group healer that has a ive that boosts her own self healing and a teammate under 50% HP. Unlike Wan’er and Wencheng, her heal scales off of her attack instead of HP. Despite her later Biography, hero shop has an abundance of her shards. She definitely can do her job well, but lacks the tanking utility that the other healers have. Gems: ATK/DEF/HP/RES Destiny Treasure: Pendant (ATK/EVA) Preferred Rolls: ATK/DEF/HP/RES • Gear: DEF bonus gear (Serenity from Intrigue, Royal from Pageant) Part 3: Other Heroes This section will cover orange/red heroes that ultimately don’t perform up to par in the long run. These are the heroes to use in the beginning of the game when your roster hasn’t been filled yet. In Case of Missing Heroes, Break Glass These are the heroes you can use in a pinch if you’re missing some team mainstays. These are heroes that perform okay in early game, but tend to lose their utility in later game. Damage Dealer: Daiyu Her active skill is a drain AOE, which gives her an interesting amount of survivability, especially since her ive increases her damage as she loses more health (buffs 39% max). Gems: ATK/CRIT/ACC Destiny Treasure: Hook - Preferred Rolls: ATK/CRIT/ACC/AGL Gear: ATK bonus gear (Unity from Intrigue, Duality from VIP) : Zhaojun/Luzhen/Yu Ji Zhaojun’s active buffs team DEF and her ive debuffs enemy team’s DEF. Luzhen’s active skill deals pretty good damage and has a 70% chance of making two enemies fall asleep and her ive skill can reduce the other team’s healing (take that, maid squad!).
Yu Ji’s active skill can deal a pretty decent amount of damage has a guaranteed silence debuff and has a 50% chance to debuff the RES of her target for 2 rounds. Gems: AGL/DEF/ATK/HP or RES Destiny Treasure: Luzhen = Fan (HP/ACC?), Yu Ji = Pendant (ATK/EVA), Zhaojun = Pendant (ATK/EVA) Preferred Rolls: AGL/DEF/ATK/HP or RES Gear: AGL bonus gear (Merak from Intrigue, Bliss from Ranking or VIP) Healer: Hua Tuo His ability to heal is entirely dependent on RNG and which enemies your team can actually hit. His active skill is an AOE hit that has a mean damage over time effect that can reduce up to the enemy team’s HP by 16% total over two turns. From my understanding, his ive marks an enemy and if an ally hero hits a marked enemy, there’s a 50% chance to heal them for 18% of Hua Tuo’s attack. Gems: AGL/DEF/HP/ATK/RES Destiny Treasure: Orb (ATK/DEF) - Preferred Rolls: AGL/DEF/HP/ATK Gear: AGL bonus gear (Merak from Intrigue, Bliss from Ranking or VIP) I Was Made to Be An Errand Slave Please do not use these heroes unless you like a challenge. It is general consensus that they are not worth the investment. Shizhen Do not use him unless you are a masochist with an intense desire to turn trash into treasure. His active skill hits 3 random enemies and has a 40% chance to inflict Chaos on those targets, which offers a chance that afflicted enemies will attack themselves or their teammates. His ive only procs when he’s dead and that’s… nice. Keep a healthy distance away from him unless you’re planning to make him an errand boy. Zhaoyun Another warrior, except thoroughly mediocre. His offense is better than Jingke, but his defense is disappointing. His active skill is a drain that targets the enemy hero with the lowest HP while his ive skill gives a 21% chance to increase his rage after securing a kill, thus accelerating how often he can use his active skill. Baoyu He likes to play with accuracy, which needless to say is less of a consistent buff than stats like DEF/RES/ATK. Sorry dude, but nah to yah.
Congzhi Well, all of the free heroes couldn’t be solid choices - this is the dud of the group. His active skill is a single hit that buffs your team’s DEF by 12% of Congzhi’s DEF for the rest of the turn. At first glance, DEF buffs are great, but since he’s pretty squishy himself... it’s a terrible buff. His ive has a 30% chance to reduce the target’s Rage for his attacks, which slows their active skill trigger, but it’s inconsistent at best and fails to synergize with his active skill. Messing with the enemies’ active skill triggers isn’t helpful when your DEF buff is only 1 turn. Part 4: Okay Ladies, Let’s All Get in Formation: Putting the Pieces Together General rule of thumb is just common sense: defensive heroes up front. Strongest tank should go in front left slot • Your own character OR 2nd tank usually takes the front right • slot. Your sturdiest backline character should be on the right • backline slot (behind your weaker tank/your own char). 2nd sturdiest backline character takes the left backline slot • (behind stronger tank). Strongest damage dealer or most important squishy takes • center backline slot. This is what it should look like when it all comes together Tank/Wan’er
